The class includes differences from Spindle Grain Turning, similarities. Review of initial mounting methods, including Faceplates, a screw chuck, Between Centers. We will turn the outside of a bowl or platter. Then prepare the project for reversing to turn the inside of the bowl or platter. The next class (WT-106) will be on turning the inside.
Cost is for the instructor provided book on Bowl Turning.
An appropriate sized (6”x6”x4”high or smaller) Blank can be provided by the student, subject to Instructor Approval, or one can be purchased from the instructor for a nominal fee.
Class size is limited to 4, since we have very limited lathe availability.
