Don't damage our tables!

I don’t yet know who did this, but if it’s you, stop it! If you need to use a router on your work, use a spoil board underneath it. I see there’s also a saw mark in this table. Same thing applies. Or better yet, use the sawhorses.

That is some seriously frustrating behavior, like common sense should make it obvious not to route directly onto a finished surface. I know you cant cover every scenario in an orientation but it doesn’t really feel like you should need to cover this. Bummer

Yeah this is pretty egregious. Especially with the burn marks, they had to know what was happening. They then decided to continue and to take no responsibility. I’ve done stupider stuff than this, but people will always be more forgiving if you own up to your mistakes. Just leave a note or message the lead. Argh

“Spoil boards” are scrap pieces of wood that we sacrifice to protect level, smooth tabletops. When in doubt, put a scrap board underneath your project and that way accidents just cut into a piece of scrap.
