Creality CR-10s Update

I updated the firmware on the Creality CR-10s yesterday and enabled the filament runout sensor. If you run out of filament during a print it should stop the print and give you prompts on the LCD to change filament. If you try to print with no filament running through the sensor you will get a rather misleading error: “M600: Too Cold”. What this means is that the printer detected no filament and tried to run the filament change routine (M600) but the extruder was not hot enough to safely eject filament.

For reference this is what the filament sensor looks like. It does not stay attached very well, so it may fall off when you change filament.
