I’m sorry, I haven’t been paying a lot of attention to this thread
because I am unable to help with the event this year. However, I do have
a bit of experience with this particular chili cook off. One thing that
I wanted to point out is that a large part of the event is the “people’s
choice” category. This is where people come and sample your chili and if
they like it, they can “vote” for you (usually by putting a bean in a
jar or something). This is separate from the judging.
The people’s choice part of this is really the most important with
regard to exposure for MakeICT. The way to maximize this effect is to
not run out of chili too quickly. Being one of the few booths that still
has chili left as others are running out is an effective way to stand out.
as 10 gallons of chili for serving to the crowd.
