Boiler room - red brick removal

Heads up,

Aaron G and myself will be hauling the broken red brick in the boiler room to the dump on Friday.

They have now sat for a year with no firm plans to use them. There have been notional ideas to use them for the base of a sign, but the more i look at them, i think we’d be better off starting off with fresh brick that we didn’t have to bust mortar off of to use.

For those that want to help, we’ll start loading up my truck at 1pm, unless someone has a strong reason not to take them to the dump.

Thanks for the help Jai!

We managed to haul 1650 lbs to the dump. And it turns out the dump does not charge for taking brick or concrete since they can be recycled into roadway material.

There’s probably another solid load left, but we’ve decided to just take the full bricks and not the little pebble sized debris that we might be able to use in the parking lot.

im not sure if there are plans for the liner firebricks, but I might know someone who’d take to off your hands for you.

They’ll most likely be sold off in lots of 10 during the next purge, that or we can get some 3 nerd sheets going on them.

Might check with the blacksmith club. Some people use the fire brick for gas forges.
