I’m new to the makerspace and I would like to sharpen my own mower blade this season. Would anyone be around in the evenings the next few weeks that could show me how to do this? If so, let me know!

Its fairly straightforward if you have a simple bar style blade. I used to do it all the time when I worked in parks. If you have a balancing cone/tool I could help you this weekend, but if you don’t I can make due with a good size bolt, washers, and a bit of sturdy twine or cable.
Now if its a multi edge like a ninja or something then we’ll have to do a lot by hand or see if someone has a sharpening jig.

Using the vise just a bolt or a piece of rod or anytime round is sufficient. I can go up any evening except tomorrow through Friday this week as I’ll be out of town.

This would be a really good, super useful class if one of you would want to teach it
