So far, I have experimented in a small space between two concrete pads where plant growth isn’t desirable with the large shavings from @J3553.T . Growth in the space has been suppressed but it has not extended beyond the actual edges of the shavings. I have started placing the fine shavings from @Pinbot in more such spaces. I am pulling the growth but not the roots and then packing the shavings down. One of those spots is between the lean-to garden shed and the concrete pad the shed sits on, the other is by the electrical box/building. The shavings are packed in and are 3-6" deep.
